HOPE FOR THE UNKNOWN FUTURE AHEAD

All grown up now
Facing life as it comes
Family and old friends so far away
Along with them a piece of my heart


Here in a bright , strange place
So new and unfamiliar
Surrounded with thousands of new unfamiliar
Moving like the tides of the oceans

I stand still
Frozen among the endless tides
Afraid of people
judging on how you look and what you wear
Without knowing who you really are

Sitting in a corner
In the silence
I feel my heart beat faster
I look up
Passing small smiles to those equally lost around me
I smile brightly, with hope in my heart
That they will see me
For who I truly am



I look around
And slowly all the dull faces around me
Start to glow brightly with smiles on their beautifully unique faces
Illuminating their beautifully unique personalities
 Over-joyed with friendship and love that we share with each other


Hand in hand , we will walk
With faith in ourselves
That we will make it through
The good times and the bad
And with smiles on our faces
And hope on our hearts
We will walk together
Into the unknown future
