Real Angels Among us

I believe that there are angels among us

Not the kind from storybooks

Sprits with white robes and huge white wings.

The real angels are those people

Who suddenly walk into your life

When you desperately need someone to listen to your happiness and sorrows

When you need a shoulder to cry on

And someone who will be there by your side

Through thick and thin

Come what may.

Their souls are as pure as silk

And they possess wings of kindness and love in their hearts

And will always be there for us

Even when we least expect anyone to be there.

I write this poem dedicating it to all the angels in my life , who have come and brightened my life , and even though they aren't around to see me , they will always be there in my heart and I will always be there for you .

This is for the angels that brought me to this world- Suganda Menon and Nandan Menon, my wonderful parents.

To the angel that joined me after 7 years to make my life full of color – Nishant Menon.

To my Godmother , who I love so very much - Annie Rodricks.

To my nanny , who has been my second mother - Sarasu,

To my wonderful grandparents , 3 of them are already angels in heaven , but my achamma is very much with me and She is a super- cool Granny .

To my guardian angel and her beautiful family , whom I wish I could see every day- Nalatha , Glenn Uncle and Shruthi Edwards

To the best friend who had to leave so soon, but who I will never ever forget – Sherry Maximoss.

To the bunch of besties that make high school impossible to forget – Tuline Desouza, Christine Luke, Danica Fernandas, Rebekah Jacob, Zend Cama and Dilan Fernandaz.

To my beautiful room-mate , who is my best friend , my advisor , my mom away from home , my sister and everything I need- Anamika Anachalia.

To my very unique and very loving “Dabaang” angel, whom I love to bits- Shivani Modi.
